11. Wiring Instructions

FBX Robot Curriculum, Module No. 1

In this section, we will walk you through the process of wiring the FBX. As you follow along with these instructions, be sure to double check that all of your connections are correct! Incorrect wiring may result in damage to the hardware during robot operation.

For the following steps, please reference the diagram of the FBX Microcontroller shown here:

As a reminder...

The Front of the robot is the side with a round, wedge-shaped hole cut into the chassis-- This is also the direction that your claw should be facing.

Wiring the Drive Motors

1. Connect the Front Right motor plug to M1.

2. Connect the Back Right motor plug to M2.

3. Connect the Front Left motor plug to M3A.

4. Connect the Back Left motor plug to M4.

Wiring the Claw Arm Motors

1. Connect the Arm Motor plug to M5A.

2. Connect the Claw Motor plug to M6.

Keep the Power Switch in OFF mode until otherwise specified. Don't plug in the Battery just yet-- We will tackle this in the next module.
